A while back I posted about sustainability expert Annie Leonard and her video entitled ‘The Story of Stuff’. Just to jog your memory, it was a video about the impact consumerism is having on the world and the people who inhabit it. The movie was so popular that it went from being just a movie to a whole movement. Well, Annie and her team have been at it again. This time they have looked at the solution to how we might reduce the impact we are having on our planet.

The new video is called ‘The Story of Solutions’. It looks at how, as a society, we are constantly striving for ‘more’ even though it may not equate to ‘better’. The old adage that a small act by many people can make a big change is alluded to. The thought is that we need to find a more sustainable approach to how we live our lives and the effect we have on the future of our planet.

I think they’ve communicated the issues in a simple yet very effective manner, even though they are in reality much more complex. By presenting them in this way they can be understood, and perhaps even enjoyed, by a wider audience. A big thumbs up from me. Take a look and decide for yourself though.
